About Me

Hi there! I’m Natashia — a proud wife, mom of two sweet and energetic kids, and the heart behind NatashiaPlate.com. I live in beautiful Illinois, where I spend most of my days balancing family life, faith, and my love for cooking.

My journey in the kitchen started when I was just a little girl. I used to stand on a stool beside my grandma, trying to stir the pot or sneak a taste when she wasn’t looking. Her kitchen was always full of warmth, laughter, and good food — and that’s where I fell in love with cooking. It wasn’t just about recipes; it was about connection, love, and the joy of feeding the people you care about.

As I grew older, I kept that love for food close to my heart. I didn’t go to culinary school — I learned by doing, experimenting, failing (sometimes badly!), and trying again. I started cooking seriously after getting married and having kids. Suddenly, food became even more meaningful. It became the way I cared for my family, celebrated special moments, and made everyday life a little brighter.

Starting this blog was a dream I carried for a long time. I wanted to create a space where I could share the recipes I love — the ones that bring comfort, joy, and maybe a little nostalgia. But more than that, I wanted this to be a place where people could feel at home. Whether you’re new to cooking, feeding a family, or just looking for inspiration, you’re welcome here.

My hope is that you leave here feeling full — not just with food, but with encouragement and inspiration too. Because no matter where you are in life or in your cooking journey, you deserve something good on your plate.

Thank you so much for being here. I’m so excited to cook, grow, and share with you.
